Jamie was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S in Human Development Family Studies, focusing on Child Development.
After graduating, Jamie moved to New York City and worked as an Assistant Teacher in a Young 2's classroom while pursuing her masters degree.
In 2012, Jamie completed her Masters in Early Childhood Special and General Education from the renowned Bank Street College and became a certified Head Teacher.
Jamie has more than decade of experience working at various preschools throughout NYC where she developed, implemented and oversaw age-appropriate curriculums based on children's interest and catered to their developmental needs.
As a teacher, Jamie believes her role is beyond her time within the walls of the classroom. She is a devoted advocate for all students, including special needs, a supportive partner for parents, and a collaborative colleague for her peers.
A few months after the pandemic started, Jamie made the decision to move back home to Michigan where she started teaching small pods. She noticed many of her friends with children were struggling to keep their children busy with activities that did not include the television or iPad. That is how Busy Box 4 Kids started!
Busy Box 4 Kids is a skill-based craft and activity box for children ages 2 through 5. Using her experience, Jamie researches and puts together age-appropriate boxes so parents can focus on their child's development.
